CAIR-San Antonio Urges Texas Muslims to Donate Blood for Church Shooting Victims

(SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, 11/5/17) – The San Antonio chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Antonio), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, tonightcalled on members of the Texas Muslim community to donate blood to help those injured in today’s deadly shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs.

“During times of tragedy and heartache, all Texans must, and will work together to help alleviate suffering and to offer material and spiritual support for one another,” said CAIR-San Antonio President Sarwat Husain. “We pray for the loved ones of those killed in this senseless attack and for the speedy recovery of the wounded.”

CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
